Last week, Doug Foral, VP of Sales here at Mortech, and I attended the MBA Tech Conference in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. We were treated to a wonderful Dinner Cruise down the Inter Coastal Waterway (and a delicious meal) by pending integration partner, Motivity Solutions. In addition, we spent time with Sam of Bullseye (another partner) and John Ohman of FlatIrons Capital Management.

Sure online leads present several opportunities: more volume, faster contact rates, increased conversions, etc. However, online leads don’t (at least not yet) constitute the majority of the leads available to mortgage lenders, nor do they constitute the vast majority of leads that our customers work. Most leads or inquiries come from our traditional marketing efforts. These are leads that are generated using established channel
s such as newspaper ads, customer referrals, realtor relationships, advertising and word of mouth.
Can you believe it’s already March, and spring is just around the corner? Hard to imagine based on the frigid weather we've seen the past couple weeks. Spring means home buying season and big changes are approaching. The Mortgage Bankers Association predicts that Refinance mortgages will make up just 41% of the Origination $$ volume in 2011 compared to 69% in 2010. And, Origination total $$ volume will be just $1.05 Trillion down from a projected $1.8 Trillion according to Freddie Mac. So, Purchase mortgages will be the place to be for 2011.
