Fall isn’t just a great time of the year for spending time outside in beautiful weather; it’s also the time of the year that I get to do one of my favorite things: coach junior league football.  To me, the fun of a season is to see how the team comes together to play as one cohesive unit, as well as individual players. Over the years the season of fall has become my favorite time of the year. The cool, crisp mornings, the evenings surrounding a fire pit with friends, and Saturday’s Farmer's Market. I can walk down the street and look at many different vendors whether it be fresh produce, homemade crafts, or kettle corn warm enough to put off steam out of the bag into the crisp fall air. My kids and I know there will be something to appeal to each of us individually, and having the options in front of us makes for an experience we can tailor to our own tastes. Wow, I had the best weekend ever! What did I do? Well I … I can’t remember.


Have you ever been in the middle of a story then all of the sudden you lost your train of thought and you completely forgot what you were going to say? Let’s face it, we’ve all been in this situation. When this happened to me in my childhood, my mother would always tell me to retrace my steps - physically and mentally - to try and remember what I was going to say. This worked most of the time, but every now and again, I would simply just forget. In a fast-paced, ever-changing industry such as mortgage lending, two minutes often makes all the difference in the world when first talking with a prospect. Say you have a borrower on the phone that doesn’t really know what they want for a product. You can give them a few options, all easily accessible from your rates page within Marksman.
